Topaz Image Upscale

Topaz Labs' AI upscaler: sharpen and enlarge an image 2x or 4x, up to 8K, with no prompt to write.

What is Topaz Image Upscale?

Topaz Image Upscale brings Topaz Labs' AI upscaling to Flashloop.

You give it one image, choose 2x or 4x, and it returns a larger, sharper version with less noise and fewer compression artifacts. There is no prompt to write, and the result can reach 8K depending on the size of your source.

Topaz Labs is known for its Gigapixel and Photo products, and the same kind of technology is what runs here. It works on what is already in the image: edges get cleaner, textures sharper and blocky JPEG artifacts smoother. It cannot recover detail the original never captured, so a heavily blurred face will come out larger and cleaner, not suddenly in focus.

Pricing follows the output. Flashloop measures the finished image and charges by the tier it lands in, up to 2K, 4K or 8K, which means a small photo at 4x can cost less than a large one at 2x. It works on JPEG and PNG files, one image at a time, and you can pick anything you already generated on Flashloop straight from My Assets.

  • Print and large displays

  • Compressed screenshots

Clean up a blurry or heavily compressed screenshot before putting it in a deck or a document.

  • AI images at a bigger size

Many image models render at 1K or 2K; upscale the keeper 2x or 4x before using it for print or a hero banner.

Questions about Topaz Image Upscale

How is Topaz Image Upscale priced?

The resolution tier your finished image lands in: up to 2K, 4K or 8K. The upscale factor and your source size both affect that tier, so you will not know the exact price until the image is generated.

What image formats can I upscale?

JPEG and PNG. Convert other formats before uploading.

Can I upscale an image I already generated on Flashloop?

Yes. Pick it from My Assets in the source picker instead of uploading it again.

Who makes Topaz Image Upscale?

Topaz Labs, the company behind Gigapixel and Topaz Photo. Flashloop gives you access to its upscaling technology in the Upscale creator.

Should I pick 2x or 4x?

Use 2x when the image only needs to be a bit bigger or cleaner, and 4x when a small source has to reach print or large-screen size. 4x on a small image can land in the same price tier as 2x on a large one.
