Seedance 2.5
ByteDance's Seedance 2.5: one continuous 30-second shot, native audio and up to 50 reference files.
What is Seedance 2.5?
Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's video model for long single-shot clips, announced in June 2026 as the successor to Seedance 2.0.
It generates up to 30 seconds in one continuous take, with audio made in the same pass. On Flashloop it renders at 480p or 720p in six aspect ratios and takes up to 50 reference files per generation.
Length is the headline. Most models on Flashloop stop at 8 to 15 seconds, so a 30 second scene usually means generating pieces and cutting them together, with the jumps in lighting and faces that come with it. Seedance 2.5 plans the whole take at once. ByteDance skipped from 2.0 straight to 2.5, and the other big change is the reference budget: up to 30 images, 10 video clips and 10 audio clips, bound by upload position so a named character stays the same person for the entire shot.
The trade is resolution. ByteDance has described 4K for this model, but the tiers its API partners serve today stop at 720p, which is what you get on Flashloop. For a 1080p or 4K final, Seedance 2.0 on High is the better pick. For long product walkthroughs, trailers and creator-style videos with a consistent cast, 2.5 is the stronger tool.

Prompts to try with Seedance 2.5
“A single continuous shot that starts on a closed laptop on a wooden desk, slowly circles as the lid opens, pushes in on the keyboard, then pulls back to reveal a sunny home office. A calm voice says "Built for long days." Soft piano and birdsong outside. 30 seconds, 16:9.”

Questions about Seedance 2.5
How long can a Seedance 2.5 video be?
Up to 30 seconds, at any whole length from 4 seconds up. It is one continuous take, not several short clips joined together.
What is the difference between Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0?
Seedance 2.5 doubles the maximum length to 30 seconds and takes far more references: 30 images, 10 videos and 10 audio clips, against 7 reference images for Seedance 2.0 on Flashloop. Seedance 2.0 still goes higher on resolution, with 4K on High, while 2.5 stops at 1080p.
What resolutions does Seedance 2.5 support?
480p, 720p and 1080p on Flashloop. For 4K today, use Seedance 2.0 on High.
What reference inputs can I use with Seedance 2.5?
Up to 30 reference images, 10 reference videos and 10 reference audio clips per generation, 50 files in total. Reference video and audio are each capped at 30 seconds in total, and first and last frame control is also available.
Can Seedance 2.5 generate audio with the video?
Yes. Sound effects, ambience and lip-synced speech are generated together with the picture instead of added afterwards.
Who makes Seedance 2.5?
ByteDance's Seed team. It is distributed through ByteDance's Volcano Engine and BytePlus platforms, and Flashloop lists it among the video models it offers.
Can Seedance 2.5 make videos longer than 30 seconds?
Not in a single generation on Flashloop. For a longer piece, generate several 30 second takes and use first and last frames so each one starts where the previous one ends.
