What is Kling 4.0?

Kling 4.0 is Kuaishou's next video model.

Kling AI announced it on September 28, 2026 under the line "You call the shots" and describes it as "stable dynamic motions and an immersive audio-visual experience", with the full model coming this October. Kling 4.0 Flash, a faster variant, is already live for Kling's Ultra Yearly subscribers. Kling 4.0 is not on Flashloop yet; Kling 3.0 and Kling 3.0 Turbo are.

Two numbers stand out in Kling's launch post: native 30-second generation, and multi-keyframe control with up to 10 keyframes, so a scene can be pinned at chosen moments and not only at its first and last frame. Kling 3.0 already documents 3 to 15 second clips, native dialogue in five languages, multi-shot storyboarding, element references and start and end frames, and native 4K arrived for the 3.0 series in April 2026.

Early reports add up to 15 multimodal references, video extension and higher output formats, and they disagree on the output resolution; none of it is in Kling's documentation yet. When the model arrives, the useful test is a long take with a person, a product and a fixed order of actions: does the same face, the same package and the same sequence survive 30 seconds with fewer retries than Kling 3.0 needs today.
